Rocks are painted..., kinda
The rocks in front of the Wonder Valley Community Center used to spell out "Wonder Valley" in red, white, and blue. The sun and sand took their toll over the years and lately they've just looked like random arrangements of rocks.
After last Monday's Community Meeting I saw a Special District's employee or contractor out there spraying the rocks with spray paint, which though easy, wasn't quite what I'd had in mind when I made the request. Our aeolian sugar sand has more than half buried most of the rocks. They really need to be dug out and repainted with a thick coat of paint, and then realigned. It's getting hot now so I can't imagine this happening until next December. I dunno. Is it just me?
